SPARKLE IN THE PARK SHINES BRIGHT: A DAZZLING SUCCESS IN COLD LAKE

COLD LAKE— Hearts for Healthcare is thrilled to announce the success of our second annual Sparkle in the Park event! From December 4th to December 9th, the Cold Lake MD Campground was transformed into a Winter Wonderland, creating a magical experience for the community that was bigger and better than ever before.

This year’s Sparkle in the Park, a heartfelt THANK YOU from Hearts for Healthcare to the incredible Cold Lake community, once again captured the hearts of attendees. The event aimed to spread joy, warmth, and holiday cheer to all who attended.

The Cold Lake MD Campground underwent a magical transformation into a Winter Wonderland, featuring dazzling light displays, enchanting music, and endless holiday cheer with some help from our local friends—businesses, not-for-profits, sports teams, schools, you name it! They pulled out all the stops, creating dazzling light displays that felt like a warm hug.

Tim Hortons Cold Lake provided delicious Hot Chocolate, and Sobeys Cold Lake sweetened the experience with delightful candy canes, adding a warm and festive touch to the event. ATCO contributed to the magical ambiance by creating a stunning light-up archway, welcoming guests with a grand entrance to the Winter Wonderland.

Imperial Cold Lake added a touch of sparkle with custom Sparkle in the Park ornaments for the first 100 cars each night. These stunning ornaments, designed by Handcrafted by Elle & Bee, became cherished mementos for lucky attendees.

Community involvement was key to Sparkle in the Park’s success, with over 50 display participants and dedicated volunteers enhancing the event’s atmosphere. Their invaluable contributions were crucial to making Sparkle in the Park a success.

In total, Sparkle in the Park raised an incredible $30,200.00 towards local healthcare initiatives. The event attracted over 3,200 cars, each one contributing to the festive spirit and community support that made Sparkle in the Park an unforgettable experience.

Additionally, Hearts for Healthcare is proud to announce that Sparkle in the Park became the biggest food drive of 2023, collecting a staggering 2386 kg of food donations for the Cold Lake Food Bank. This significant contribution reflects the community’s generosity and compassion during the holiday season.

” We are overjoyed by the overwhelming success of Sparkle in the Park this year. The Cold Lake community, our dedicated volunteers, and our generous sponsors have not only made this event a celebration of the holiday season but also a testament to the strength of our community spirit. The funds raised and the substantial food drive contributions, driven by empathy, will play a crucial role in supporting local healthcare initiatives and ensuring the well-being of our community. Thank you to everyone who made Sparkle in the Park a shining success.” – Kari Leiper, Executive Director of Hearts for Healthcare

Sparkle in the Park’s triumphant return was made possible through the generous support of our sponsors, volunteers, and the unwavering enthusiasm of the Cold Lake community. Hearts for Healthcare extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who played a part in making this event a resounding success.
